MaxBounty postback setup

What MaxBounty sends back when a sale is approved, which field carries your click id, and how UTMCAP joins the two.

  1. 01

    Send the click id out with your offer link

    MaxBounty carries it in subid2. Put the token on the offer URL and every conversion can be traced back to the click that paid for it.

    https://their-offer.com/?subid2={utmcap_id}
  2. 02

    Paste the postback into MaxBounty

    UTMCAP builds this for you on your own tracking domain — the example below uses a placeholder. MaxBounty fills in the braces when it calls it.

    https://track.example.com/postback?cid={click_id}&payout={payout}

What each field carries

FieldMaxBounty calls itAnd fills it with
Click idcidnot published
Payoutpayoutnot published

Worth knowing: Append subid2={utmcap_id} to the offer URL; s1 is theirs. MaxBounty keeps its callback macros in Sub-ID & Callbacks inside your account rather than on the public site — read them there, then save this as your own template.

Taken from what MaxBounty publishes; the rest it keeps inside your account — source. We do not cite other trackers’ help pages, because a rival’s integration note says what their template does, which is not the same as what MaxBounty sends.

Questions

About MaxBounty and tracking.

How do I set up a MaxBounty postback?
Paste the postback URL from your UTMCAP campaign into MaxBounty, on your own tracking domain rather than the example one, and send the click id out in the subid2 field on your offer link. The parameters are filled in for you; the table above shows what each one carries.
Does UTMCAP already know MaxBounty?
Partly. MaxBounty is in the catalogue, and the parts it publishes are filled in. The rest it keeps inside your own account — read them there once and save them as your template.
What happens if a conversion arrives days later?
It still finds its click. The postback carries the click id, so a sale approved a week after the click attaches to that click and is dated when it happened. A status change updates the same conversion rather than adding a second one.
What does this cost?
Conversions and postbacks are never billable here — only the click the redirect answered. Free for 100,000 clicks a month, then $29 for a million.

Point a domain at us and run a click through it.
