UTMCAP or CPV Lab

CPV Lab sells two different things: a licence for software you install, and a cloud tracker called CPV One that meters events like everyone else. The comparison depends on which one you are looking at.

Their figures were read off their own pricing page on 2026-09-25. Prices change; if one below is out of date, tell us and it gets corrected.

What you are billed for

The two prices are not counting the same thing.

“Every plan includes unlimited campaigns and unlimited events tracked. No click limits. No overage fees.”
— CPV Lab pricing page, read 2026-09-25

On the self-hosted licence nothing is metered, so the funnel shape is irrelevant and the cost is the licence plus your server. On their cloud product, CPV One, an event is “every visit / click / conversion” — the same three-events-a-sale arithmetic as the other hosted trackers.

Side by side

Both ladders, as each of us publishes them.

Where CPV Lab is better

The reasons not to move.

Written first, because a comparison page that finds nothing good to say about the other product is not a comparison.

Where we are better

The reasons to.

  • No stack to keep alive

Their requirements are a Linux server, PHP 8.1 to 8.4, MySQL or MariaDB and an ionCube loader. Every one of those is a thing to patch, and none of them is tracking.

  • Half the price at the entry rung

$29 against $57 for the licence — before the server — or $67 for their cloud plan, which meters events the way we do not.

  • Answered at the edge

About 300 cities, and a median of 37 ms across the 25 countries we measure weekly. One PHP server answers quickly for the people near it.

  • Conversions back to the ad platforms

Google, Microsoft, Meta and TikTok get the sale within seconds, matched on their own click id.

The verdict, including when it is not us. Pick CPV Lab if you want to own the software outright and run it yourself, or you need multivariate testing. Pick us if you want the redirect answered near your visitor and nothing to maintain.

Questions

The ones that decide it.

What is not built here is listed on the platforms page rather than left out of this one.

Also compared

What do I need to run CPV Lab?
By their own list: a Linux server, PHP 8.1 to 8.4, MySQL 5.6.3 or MariaDB 10.0.12 or newer, an ionCube loader and at least 500 MB of disk. Plus whoever keeps that current.
Is CPV One the same product?
No. CPV One is their hosted version, and it meters events — “every visit / click / conversion” — from $67 a month for two million. The unlimited-events promise belongs to the self-hosted licence only.
Is a perpetual licence cheaper in the end?
If you stay on one major version, yes, eventually. Their one-off starts at $1,157, which is about three years of our $29 plan, and the server and your hours are on top.

Run one campaign through both.

A hundred thousand clicks a month and no card, which is enough to see whether the numbers agree with the ones you already have.
