UTMCAP or Voluum

Voluum is the tracker most people in this industry can name, and it has been running longer than we have. It is also the most expensive way to answer a redirect, and the gap is wider than the two pricing pages make it look — because the two pages are not counting the same thing.

Their figures were read off their own pricing page on 2026-09-10. Prices change; if one below is out of date, tell us and it gets corrected.

What you are billed for

The two prices are not counting the same thing.

The paid events are: impressions (10 impressions count as 1 billable event), visits, clicks, and conversions. Each event is equal, meaning that they use your pricing plan’s quota in the same way.
Voluum documentation, read 2026-09-10

So a visitor who lands on a page of yours, clicks through to the offer and converts has spent three of Voluum’s events and one of our clicks. On a funnel with a lander, a million visitors is a million clicks here and upwards of two million events there — before anybody buys anything.

Side by side

Both ladders, as each of us publishes them.

Our prices are monthly; annual billing is lower and is on the pricing page, along with the fact that billing is not switched on yet.

Where Voluum is better

The reasons not to move.

Written first, because a comparison page that finds nothing good to say about the other product is not a comparison.

Where we are better

The reasons to.

  • A quarter of the price at the same rung

$29 against $119 for the first million, and the gap holds all the way up: $159 for ten million clicks against $539 for ten million events.

  • Clicks, not events

Their own documentation says a visit, a lander click and a conversion each spend one event. We count the click the redirect answers, once, whatever the funnel does afterwards.

  • Nobody is charged per seat

Three people on the $29 plan, ten on the $59 plan, unlimited from $115. Their entry plan includes one additional user. A shared login is how an audit trail stops meaning anything, and pricing people into one is how it happens.

  • Unlimited tracking domains from $59

Their $299 plan gives five with SSL. Certificates are issued for you here once the record resolves, on every plan.

The verdict, including when it is not us. Pick Voluum if you need the anti-fraud product, rules that act on traffic without you, or a name the other side of the table already trusts. Pick us if what you actually need is a fast redirect, honest numbers and a bill that is not four times larger for counting the same traffic three times.

Questions

The ones that decide it.

What is not built here is listed on the platforms page rather than left out of this one.

Also compared

Is an event the same as a click?
No. Voluum’s documentation says impressions (ten to an event), visits, clicks and conversions each spend one, and that every event is equal. We count the click the redirect answers. A visitor who lands, clicks through and converts is three events there and one click here.
Can I move my campaigns across?
The campaigns and flows have to be rebuilt — every tracker models them slightly differently — but the tokens do not. The traffic sources arrive with their macros already filled in, so the tracking URL you paste into the network is the same shape as the one you have now.
What does not exist here that exists there?
A public API, ad-platform automation rules, and a dedicated fraud product. Conversions returned to the ad platform by API are also not built. All of that is listed on the platforms page rather than left for you to find out later.

Run one campaign through both.

Ten thousand clicks a month and no card, which is enough to see whether the numbers agree with the ones you already have.
