ClickDealer postback setup

ClickDealer runs on CAKE, so it speaks CAKE's macros. Identify the platform and the whole mapping follows — which is why the fields below are already filled in.

  1. 01

Send the click id out with your offer link

ClickDealer carries it in s2. Put the token on the offer URL and every conversion can be traced back to the click that paid for it.

    https://their-offer.com/?s2={utmcap_id}
  2. 02

    Paste the postback into ClickDealer

UTMCAP builds this for you on your own tracking domain — the example below uses a placeholder. ClickDealer fills in the braces when it calls it.

    https://track.example.com/postback?cid=#s2#&payout=#price#&transaction_id=#leadid#

What each field carries

FieldClickDealer calls itAnd fills it with
Click idcid#s2#
Payoutpayout#price#
Their conversion idtransaction_id#leadid#

Worth knowing: Append s2={utmcap_id} to the offer URL and set the postback under Global S2S postback URL. The s-slots are CAKE’s, so CAKE’s hash-delimited macros are the ones to try first — confirm them against your own account.

Taken from what ClickDealer publishes; the rest it keeps inside your account — source. We do not cite other trackers’ help pages, because a rival’s integration note says what their template does, which is not the same as what ClickDealer sends.

Questions

About ClickDealer and tracking.

How do I set up a ClickDealer postback?
Paste the postback URL from your UTMCAP campaign into ClickDealer, on your own tracking domain rather than the example one, and send the click id out in the s2 field on your offer link. The parameters are filled in for you; the table above shows what each one carries.
Does UTMCAP already know ClickDealer?
Partly. ClickDealer is in the catalogue, and the parts it publishes are filled in. The rest it keeps inside your own account — read them there once and save them as your template.
What happens if a conversion arrives days later?
It still finds its click. The postback carries the click id, so a sale approved a week after the click attaches to that click and is dated when it happened. A status change updates the same conversion rather than adding a second one.
Do conversions count against my plan?
Conversions and postbacks are never billable here — only the click the redirect answered. Free for 100,000 clicks a month, then $29 for a million.

Point a domain at us and run a click through it.

The free plan takes a hundred thousand clicks a month and no card. If it does not do what you need, you have lost twenty minutes.
