p1. Put the token on the offer URL and every conversion can be traced back to the click that paid for it.https://their-offer.com/?p1={utmcap_id} - 02
Paste the postback into Golden Goose
UTMCAP builds this for you on your own tracking domain — the example below uses a placeholder. Golden Goose fills in the braces when it calls it.

What each field carries
| Field | Golden Goose calls it | And fills it with |
|---|---|---|
| Click id | cid | {p1} |
| Payout | payout | {profit} |
| Status | status | {event} |
| Their conversion id | transaction_id | {event_id} |
What their statuses mean here
- approved redeemrebill
- pending subs
- rejected unsubs
Only approved counts as revenue. Pending and rejected stay separate figures on every report, so your ROI is not built on money you have not been paid.
Worth knowing: Send your click id as p1 on the offer link; it comes back as {p1}, the payout as {profit}. An offer that does not pay in USD needs ¤cy={profit_currency_alfa} added to the postback by hand. The postback is set in step 3 of each campaign in the Golden Goose dashboard.
Taken from Golden Goose's own documentation — source. We do not cite other trackers’ help pages, because a rival’s integration note says what their template does, which is not the same as what Golden Goose sends.
Questions
About Golden Goose and tracking.
- How do I set up a Golden Goose postback?
- Paste the postback URL from your UTMCAP campaign into Golden Goose, on your own tracking domain rather than the example one, and send the click id out in the p1 field on your offer link. The parameters are filled in for you; the table above shows what each one carries.
- Does UTMCAP already know Golden Goose?
- Yes. Golden Goose is in the catalogue with its parameters and macros taken from its own documentation, so the postback works without you mapping anything by hand.
- What happens if a conversion arrives days later?
- It still finds its click. The postback carries the click id, so a sale approved a week after the click attaches to that click and is dated when it happened. A status change updates the same conversion rather than adding a second one.
- Do conversions count against my plan?
- Conversions and postbacks are never billable here — only the click the redirect answered. Free for 100,000 clicks a month, then $29 for a million.
Point a domain at us and run a click through it.
The free plan takes a hundred thousand clicks a month and no card. If it does not do what you need, you have lost twenty minutes.
