Pop & domain traffic source
Track AdMaven with UTMCAP
AdMaven is a pop & domain traffic source. Below are the macros UTMCAP fills in for it, the tracking URL it builds, and what happens to cost and conversions.
Your tracking URL
This is the URL UTMCAP builds for a AdMaven campaign. Yours has your own tracking domain and campaign in place of the example — copy it from the campaign, not from here.
https://track.example.com/spring-sale?src_campaign_id={:campaign_id}&src_source_id={:source_id}&sub_source_id={:sub_source_id}&creative_id={:creative_id}&country_code={:country_code}&os_type={:os_type}&src_browser={:browser}&src_campaign_name={:campaign_name}&src_isp={:isp}&src_os_version={:os_version}&cost={:cost}&src_clid={:click_id}What each macro records
AdMaven replaces each macro with the real value when the ad is clicked, and UTMCAP stores it in the matching field — so reports can be grouped by campaign, placement or device.
| Field | What it records | AdMaven macro |
|---|---|---|
| sub1 | Campaign ID | {:campaign_id} |
| sub2 | Source ID | {:source_id} |
| sub3 | Sub-source ID | {:sub_source_id} |
| sub4 | Creative ID | {:creative_id} |
| sub5 | Country | {:country_code} |
| sub6 | OS | {:os_type} |
| sub7 | Browser | {:browser} |
| sub8 | Campaign Name | {:campaign_name} |
| sub9 | ISP | {:isp} |
| sub10 | OS Version | {:os_version} |
Worth knowing
A brace and a colon: {:name}. The colon is part of the macro. {:cost} is per click or view, not per thousand.

How conversions get back to AdMaven
Profile → Tracking URL in your AdMaven account gives a ready postback (pixel-maven.com/pixel with your account id), keyed on unique_req={external_id}, with value={payout}.
In UTMCAP, {external_id} is AdMaven’s own click ID and {payout} is what the conversion paid — they are filled in when each conversion is sent.
Set it up in three steps
- 1. Add AdMaven as a traffic source in UTMCAP and choose its template — the macros above are filled in for you.
- 2. Create a campaign with that source, and copy its tracking URL.
- 3. Paste it into AdMaven as the ad’s click or destination URL.
Every field of the traffic source form is explained in the traffic sources guide.
Point a domain at us and run a click through it.
The free plan takes a hundred thousand clicks a month and no card. If it does not do what you need, you have lost twenty minutes.
