Affise postback setup
What Affise sends back when a sale is approved, which field carries your click id, and how UTMCAP joins the two.
- 01
Send the click id out with your offer link
Affise carries it in
sub1. Put the token on the offer URL and every conversion can be traced back to the click that paid for it.https://their-offer.com/?sub1={utmcap_id} - 02
Paste the postback into Affise
UTMCAP builds this for you on your own tracking domain — the example below uses a placeholder. Affise fills in the braces when it calls it.
https://track.example.com/postback?sub1={sub1}&sum={payout}&action_id={action_id}&status={status}
What each field carries
| Field | Affise calls it | And fills it with |
|---|---|---|
| Click id | sub1 | {sub1} |
| Payout | sum | not published |
| Their conversion id | action_id | {action_id} |
| Status | status | not published |
What their statuses mean here
- approved approved
- pending pendinghold
- rejected declined
Only approved counts as revenue. Pending and rejected stay separate figures on every report, so your ROI is not built on money you have not been paid.
Worth knowing: Inbound uses {sub1}–{sub8}; {clickid} is for outbound links only and mixing them breaks tracking. Statuses are approved, pending, declined and hold.
Taken from what Affise publishes; the rest it keeps inside your account — source. We do not cite other trackers’ help pages, because a rival’s integration note says what their template does, which is not the same as what Affise sends.
Questions
About Affise and tracking.
- How do I set up a Affise postback?
- Paste the postback URL from your UTMCAP campaign into Affise, on your own tracking domain rather than the example one, and send the click id out in the sub1 field on your offer link. The parameters are filled in for you; the table above shows what each one carries.
- Does UTMCAP already know Affise?
- Partly. Affise is in the catalogue, and the parts it publishes are filled in. The rest it keeps inside your own account — read them there once and save them as your template.
- What happens if a conversion arrives days later?
- It still finds its click. The postback carries the click id, so a sale approved a week after the click attaches to that click and is dated when it happened. A status change updates the same conversion rather than adding a second one.
- Do conversions count against my plan?
- Conversions and postbacks are never billable here — only the click the redirect answered. Free for 100,000 clicks a month, then $29 for a million.
Point a domain at us and run a click through it.
The free plan takes a hundred thousand clicks a month and no card. If it does not do what you need, you have lost twenty minutes.
